We're right in the middle of all the wonderful things the Finger Lakes has to offer.

A few minutes drive will take you to Taughannock Falls State Park and the magnificent Taughannock Falls waterfall, Cayuga Lake, Cornell, Ithaca College, The Finger Lakes Wine Trail, Montezuma Wildlife Refuge, plenty of antique stores, art galleries, wonderful restaurants and more. Finger Lakes wines are world-renowned as among the best and well worth a tasting tour.

Or just relax in the cottage or outside. Curl up with a good book, play a board game, walk around the lawn or play Frisbee with your pup.

Take a stroll to see the thousands of fireflies in the summer, or watch for the wildlife that comes for a drink. Deer, raccoons, possums, squirrels, turkeys and many songbirds are just some of the wildlife you’re likely to see. Once in awhile a coyote, pheasant or possibly even a skunk or muskrat make an appearance, too.

Judy’s Guest House is a Certified Wildlife Habitat. We provide native trees and plants for food, brush and trees for shelter, water to drink for birds and wildlife and places for animals to raise their young. We don’t use any toxic chemicals on the grounds or in the cottage.

coyote

You're more likely to hear them at night, but once in awhile they're out and about during the day. Mostly shy, you're most likely to see one walking across an open field.

Baby Skunks

Cute, and they won't bother you if you don't bother them!

Red Fox

You may see both red and grey foxes here. In the spring you can sometimes see the kits romping in the fields.

Grey Squirrel

We have both red and grey squirrels. The grey love the walnuts from the trees in the yard and the red squirrels cache the pine cones for winter.

Cardinal

Cardinals, Blue Jays, Wrens, Robins, Woodpeckers and hundreds of other birds to watch.

Wild Turkey

Lots of turkeys around. The hens tend to run in flocks and sometimes in the summer they'll be leading the young poults around through the fields.

Fawn

You'll most likely see deer. There are lots of them.
